Operating Instructions |
1. Preparation
a. Hang the drainpipe on the back of the unit via the clip. b. Make sure that the electrical outlet you are using is properly grounded. c. Make sure that the timer is set to ‘0’ minute before plugging the unit in. |

2. Put produce in unit
| Open the lid and place the vegetables, fruits or other utensils into the washing basket; close the lid (make sure that the lid is properly closed before turning power on). Some larger vegetables may be cut into more manageable pieces before putting in the unit. |

Reference weight about washing
|
When using the Food Guard, do not let the weight exceed 0.5 kg for leafy green vegetables (e.g. spinach, lettuce) or 1.5 Kg for roots and tubers. (Such as potatoes and carrots) |

3. Add Water
| Fill the Unit with water up to the "FILL LINE" shown on the basket. DO NOT OVERFILL THE UNIT! | 4. Close the lid
| • Before operating, make sure that the lid is properly closed. This will keep water from splashing out as well as limit the amount of ozone escaping from the unit. | 5. Usage Washing time can be selected using the timer on the front of the unit. Times are adjustable from 1 to 15 minutes. We recommend the following:

| Light disinfection cycle (appropriate for most produce found in the supermarket). |
Rinse 2 times, 3 minutes per time. |
| Medium disinfection cycle (appropriate for medium tenacity pollutants or residual pesticides). |
Rinse 3 times; the first and second times for 3 minutes,and the third time for 1 minute. |
| Heavy disinfection cycle (appropriate for high tenacity pollutants or residual pesticides). |
Rinse 3 times; the first time for 5 minutes, the second time for 3 minutes and the third time for 1 minute. |
